"City Walk", which was officially occupied in early January 2003, is situated in the upscale neighborhood known as the "Marina District" of downtown San Diego. This Tuscany-style low-rise building is know as a "boutique building" in that it is only 4 stories and encompasses a whole block with only 109 units. It is becoming a rare property as the remaining building in downtown are all high-rises. Another unique feature is the open walk-ways surrounding the whole building. No long, dark "hotel-type" hallways ~ a great way to meet your neighbors!
The building amenities, beside the three separate courtyards which are lushly landscaped and have soothing water features, include two fully-furnished lobbies with complete kitchens for outdoor entertaining, a 24/7 exercise gym with view windows, an on-site manager during the week, and a single level underground (camera secured) parking facility. The Homeowner's Association fees are the lowest in town and start at $344 a month based on square footage. "City Walk" (amazingly) offers 14 basic floorplans with 19 variations (differences of walk-up units, some shared balconies, etc.). Ranging in size from 961 square feet to over 2,000 square feet the overall average square footage is larger than most in the downtown San Diego metro area and again, the HOA dues are the lowest in town. The Marina District, which is primarily residential, borders the San Diego Bay and Harbor and is just a short stroll to the many attractions downtown living has to offer. The Gaslamp District, Horton Shopping Plaza, Little Italy, the Padre's Baseball Park, 5-star hotels, hundreds of restaurants, local groceries and farmer's markets (just to name a few!) are all within walking distance which keeps your car in the garage, saving you money AND getting some FUN exercise as well!
